I got the oppertunity to take a look inside a new Advance FB1-4001 today. It came in to have the sensor hole drilled and tapped.

When I opened the motor up and got the armature up on the lathe the first thing I noticed was a comm with really "chippy" mica slots. This can be caused by alot of factors. In fact it you sand a comm on a lathe you end up or can with this type
